Amber Avery, PhD

Amber Avery is the Vice President and Chief Data Officer of the Adloris Foundation. She leads data strategy, governance, and analytics across the Foundation's programs and open technology commons, aligning technical direction with partner adoption and community accountability. The first Black woman to earn a PhD in Computer Science from Purdue University, she has built her career at the intersection of computing, education, and community access. She founded NextGenEdu, an education technology company, and served as interim COO at The Bean Path, a nonprofit bridging technology gaps in underserved communities. She previously taught and recruited for Girls Who Code.
